Pilgrimage to Sri Devpuriji Ashram, Kailash

Following the sacred Shivaratri night 669-pilgrimage-to-gurudevs-lotus-feet-crowned-with-mahashivaratri-celebration, Pujya Maharaj Swami Avatar Puri Ji led devotees from around the world on a pilgrimage to Sri Devpuriji Ashram, Kailash. For many, it was their first visit to this holy place.

With a noble vision of unity and harmony, Pujya Maharaj Ji invited villagers from surrounding areas to gather for sacred satsang - encouraging them to forget past conflicts and cultivate peace, spiritual upliftment, and oneness.

He was welcomed in a grand procession of beautifully adorned carriages, accompanied by traditional villagers and international devotees of Sri Vishwaguruji. The atmosphere was vibrant with devotion and culture.

Hundreds of women carried the sacred Kalash, each filled with pure water, topped with a coconut, and decorated with mango leaves.

In Hindu worship, offerings are sacred symbols of devotion:

  • Water represents life, purity, and the primordial cosmic element.
  • Mango leaves symbolise fertility, prosperity, and harmony with nature.
  • Coconut signifies surrender of the human ego to the Divine.

Teachings from Pujya Maharaj Swami Avatar Puri Ji

During the satsang, Pujya Maharaj Ji delivered a profound message on detachment and spiritual awakening:

“When we are born into this world, we come with nothing. We are born naked, and when we leave this world, we leave in the same way. We do not take anything with us. Yet, despite this truth, we cling to attachments and hold tightly to them.

Attachment is not limited to family alone. We can also become attached to our emotions, desires, or material possessions. These attachments restrict our spiritual growth. When we gradually free ourselves, we feel inspired to move forward on the spiritual path.

Saints establish ashrams for your liberation. They could remain in the Himalayas in solitude, but in this age of Kali Yuga, spiritual ignorance is strong. Therefore, it is essential to awaken people.

Sri Vishwaguruji has spread Sanatan Dharma worldwide to remind humanity of its true spiritual nature. You are asleep in ignorance, and it is the duty of saints to awaken you.”

His words deeply touched the hearts of all present.

There, the entire group was blessed with the opportunity to visit the small room of Sri Mahaprabhuji and to perform abhishek at the ancient Shiva Lingam, sanctified by the sacred presence of Mahaprabhuji.
